Very nice :)

Perhaps we should take this over to the string section?

Ups, I was hoping that your SA would end up in the guitar section, but If you really want it as it was, it's possible to put the topics back in one as they were.

It may seem like that but actually they do. However in order to encourage people to post there we need bass players to get involved. Doesn't matter if you feel like your the only one there, just post anyway! That's what I do all the time in sections like NAMM 2017 and Montage. There are plenty of people "reading" who never post on the forum and if you look at the stats that tells it's own story. On an average month the forum receives around 100,000 visitors. Do we see 100,000 posts? of course not but we are a bit like a magazine or newspaper so we put out the info and people read it and take something useful from it but don't often respond to the articles :)

So by posting whatever it is you want to post in the bass section you will be informing, helping and inspiring people you may never hear from. Plus of course the more you post the more others may want to get involved so it's a win/win for everyone :)

True .... the bass section is small compared to the guitar section, but don't let it discourage, this "baby" can grow to a healthy size.

Bass topics used to be well hidden, somewhere among the guitar topics.
The Bass section grew up/out from the guitars, not to devide (members or opinions), but for finding bass topics easier.

We can use more traffic here, anything bas, non Yamaha included is welcome.

I think as Peter said the bass section can grow into something just as active as the guitar section. I noticed a lot of new members signing up recently who are bass players so, perhaps give them time to settle in and they may start posting soon. Also I think bass players will appreciate having their own area of the forum, I know I would if I played bass.

Your strings, are they flat wounds (hard to tell from the picture)

I put flat wound strings on my basses to save skin on my fingertips, works a charm for me. :D

Nice (Y)

It's hard to tell them apart, except one missing a knob and the saddles are intonated different.
Is the different intonation due to different string types ?
