You may be right Bill , I for one believed and spread the 1997 story, but looking at the link below, it seems like the production was from 1993 to 2003.

HOWEVER, was the VG-STD guitar actually available through the years it was shown in the catalogs :?:

 It seems like VG-STD owners including me, came up with production year: 1997 when decoding the serial number.

I guess you're asking if there's a matching hardcase for the VG-std, the answer is yes. :D
The cases must be rare since I've not seen them for sale separately, but here's one:

Yep it should have been guitar. I usually check what I write which seems I didn't. Thanks!

I own mostly bass guitars as I am a bassist so I don't have any thing else as exotic as the VG std but I have things like a 78 jazz bass a rickenbacker 4003s and a few status graphites. Ohh almost forgot a Yamaha RBX 374(not so rare but great for the money) and other stuff lol. Need a bigger house  :D :D :D
We do have a Bass guitar and amp section in need of more active members: viewforum.php?f=133 :)
