SY35 Service Manual - Part Numbers Available?

Unread post by Original_min » Mon Sep 12, 2011 7:40 pm

Hi.

I have an SY35 with a faulty rubber contact under the keys.
Oddly it's warped beyond recognition in a few areas.
Yamaha have the part for SY22,
Does anyone have a service manual so I can confirm the replacement part number for this model?

Hi Original-min,
Welcome to the Forums! Service manuals and schematics are sometimes hard to find, you can try doing some searches and see if anything comes up. An SY22 user may be able to offer some help.

Hi Clyde.

Thanks for the reply.
I have an SY22 Service Manual, and everything's fixed apart from the rubber thing.
Just wanted to confirm the number.

If you have the service manual, then why would you need to confirm the part number with another service manual? All versions of the service manual should have the same part numbers. And Yamaha is pretty good with their parts/support, if you ordered the wrong part based on their service manual, I feel sure they would allow you to return it and order the correct part. And that is based on my dealings with Yamaha parts/support.

Sorry, I missed that detail. Looking at pictures side by side, they look to be identical, my guess is that they are identical mechanically and vary only in software and OS. A quick phone call to Yamaha parts/support should be able to confirm this.

Yep, all fixed.
So for anyone needing to know for dead keys ect'

Modern part number is- VF83410R.
Rubber Contact LC61.

Fits the SY35 perfectly with no overhang (mentioned in another post) or other issues.
Will also fit SY22 of course.

An SY35 service manual would still be brilliant.
