RIP Steve. I remember him from the Electronics and Music Maker days - he featured in it regularly.

I only just noticed this! For some reason I didn't get a notification when you posted it Chris. Wow that is sad news indeed. I don't think the Fusion would ever have gotten out of the gate without Steve Howell and his efforts to provide endless wonderful sounds for it. It turned what was in essence a commercial flop for Alesis into something of a classic, although you really need to own a Fusion to understand why that is.

Shame though that you need to be registered or forced to register before you can even see that thread. "Guests Must Log In" ? How would a "guest" be able to log in? You need to register. Just seems a bizarre way to run a forum.
