New Option For Advertising On The Forum

I have added a new option for those wishing to advertise on the forum, with several packages which should suit most needs. Given our traffic, with over 600,000 visitors per month, 7 million visitors per year I think these are good value for money and of course it helps support the running of the for...

Re: Yamaha TS-100 amp repair

We used to have some members here that would likely have been able to help but I have not seen them online for a long time. Of course people have lives to live and very often they will be active on several forums and then life takes over and they move onto other things. On the plus side, if you put ...

Re: Yamaha A1M, FG180 and G255S Classical

It has been going on for years. If something can be counterfeited you can be sure there is someone doing it. I only buy strings from my local guitar store or if they don't have them I will buy online but normally through one of the other stores such as Andertons or GuitarGuitar. The biggest risk see...

If you put "Fake Elixir Strings" into Google search or youtube you will see how big the problem is!

Re: Gibson Garage London celebrates its one-year anniversary

They have a Gibson Garage store in Nashville but as far as I know that is the only one in the USA. That one and the London store are really just promotional devices for the Gibson range and associated products. Great if you live nearby and good for all sorts of PR events but in practical terms, as a...

Re: Why Mister Yamaha ?

I am not sure what the EU prices are but here in the UK the SX920 can be had for as little as £1699. That is with DV247.com The Music Depot has it at £1729 and everyone else is selling at £1819 or thereabouts. In the USA at Sweetwater it is, as Bogdan mentioned, $2299 without sales tax. That tax var...

Re: Why Mister Yamaha ?😟

A lot of it is to do with VAT. The prices you often see in the USA are without sales tax which can vary from state to state. then there are other variables such as import duty and tariffs. On top of that there is the currency exchange rate. And of course there is market and economies of scale. The U...

Re: Yamaha A1M, FG180 and G255S Classical

Hi Wrangler, welcome the forums. The A1M did indeed come with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze Light which are as you say, 11-52. They should not be difficult to keep in tune. I have never had any problems with Elixir strings. Are you certain they are genuine Elixir? They are heavily pirated so there are...

Re: incompatible with a future version of macOS

The problem is that manufacturers often have no idea if their drivers will work with future versions of macOS because Apple keeps shifting the goal posts. There are a lot of variables involved in trying to update software and drivers for any new version of macOS.

I didn't miss it. I have zero interest in one-shot drum hits. The Bosendorfer is the big draw here not drum shots you can get absolutely anywhere.

Re: Yamaha PSR-E483 Coming Soon!

My local instrument shop has sold out of the E473's. I hope they reward this long wait with something nice like a multi color screen. It is still in stock in many stores here in the UK. Although I just noticed that Yamaha themselves have dropped the price on their Amazon store to £289/$358. I would...

Re: Yamaha Synth 50th Anniversary for MODX+

You can register on the Yamaha Japan site but it is a lot of faffing around. Hopefully as Sonic2000gr mentioned, it will be the same download wherever you are located.
